As we roll out the first release of Spice Mogul’s whole spice blends, we are looking at packaging that minimizes environmental impact, as well as maximizing re-usability. These square tins can be refilled with new orders of Spice Mogul products, yet are durable to protect the contents and be sent through the mail with a minimum of protective packaging. These 3″ x 3″ x 2″ tins (made from recycled material, of course) are the perfect size for two packets of the blends, and storing packets of refills as well.

My only concern with the packaging is storing this — it looks like it would have to be stored on a shelf, flat, rather than in a container which might fit on a spice rack. Storage space is always a problem in a kitchen.
